Honestly, I don't know how many times over the past gazillion years
I've walked past a parking garage on Ohio Street,
and even looked at the stairwell.
But Saturday morning was the first time
I was open to its austere balance, a beauty in grays
that reminded me of some of the early 20th century paintings
by Kasamir Malevich or Theo Van Doesburg.

Blog + photography oppen up our eyes. Great analogies.
At first I was thinking you meant the very Halloweeny door into the wall...
Hello, Belo/Luiz and thank you for dropping by. I don't know how many times I've walked by that entrance without noticing the beautiful balance of that stairwell. Your kind observation is appreciated.
Isn't the reflection a kind of palimpsest? I just chose to ignore the ghost of the other door because it didn't suit my original idea.
