The street maintenance department of Indianapolis
may not be so great at making sweet,
tidy repairs, but they somehow manage
to be sublime street artists
in the Abstract Expressionist manner.
Compositions such as these exist all over the city;
I've taken enough of these sorts of photos
to be able to mount a large exhibition.
Consequently, today's theme, Look Down
was right up my alley, so to speak.

The second one reminds me of a painting I was looking at yesterday.
The Rothko of the pavement portrait strikes again.
Thanks, Dive - long time, no see. I have a lot of this sort of image. They're just plain everywhere. I guess, since I can't afford a real Rothko or Diebenkorn, I should just enlarge and hang a number of them on my walls.
You're welcome to hang number of them on my walls:)
Wow, dive reappears! If he stays along with William Kendall maybe Speedway would post more often...
Wow, dive reappears after a long absence. Maybe if he sticks around along with William Kendall, Speedway might be encouraged to post more often.
