Cold wind and rain blew through, remnants of "Superstorm Sandy,"
taking the last of the golden leaves from neighborhood redbud trees.
I'm already anticipating the Winter Solstice, December 21st,
after which the days again begin lengthening.

Beautiful colours and shapes again, Speedway. Nice to see red pods as well as the black ones.
Don't wish the dark nights away just yet! I've only just got used to evenings at the Observatory again and want to get some decent observing done before the frozen north turns back to constant daylight.
Rather look forward to long,snug dark evenings in front of the fire with a good book and a glass of something unhealthy.
