Somebody's Watching ...

I turned a corner during my walk and saw this gleaming jewel, a blue and white '56 Chevy, parked in someone's drive. Obviously, I wouldn't dare touch its silky smooth paint because, well, it's not mine. Even so, there were at least six pair of eyes guarding it. The masks were everywhere, an unusual touch of decor in an area where one usually will see a plaster gnome. As the Chevy's owner drove away, my eyes followed the car. I had the feeling that eyes other than my own also watched the car as it went about its errands

Very appealing photos, each one frame worthy. Commentaries are pleasant reading, too. Almost makes me want to live there (if I didn't know what lies outside the frame). This goes into my bookmarks, though, for when I take mental road-trips.

Thank you for the kind words. They are appreciated. It isn't hard to find nice pictures in Speedway. Like every other place, though, there are bleak and discouraging scenes as well. I just don't want to dwell on them at the risk of becoming political and strident.
