I didn't take this photo for CDP's monthly theme day,
but because there was something
about the tension between the two, older
outside street lamps seeming to lean away
from the newcomer in the middle.
The Town of Speedway has undertaken
a rejuvenation/redevelopment project,
with new vintage-style lamp posts
like the one above lining the streets.
To see how other members of the City Daily Photo
world community have interpreted today's theme,
either click on the above link or on
the CDP badge in the side bar to
the right of this post.

They are SO not talking to the new guy.
Yep, the new guy came in and took their job. The workmen, without so much as a glance to see whether they might be updated, just dig a hole for the guy in the fashionable outfit and added him to the crew.
And did you notice the whole squadron of standpipes, along with their sentries, installed at the feet of the lights? Those guys won't be able to make so much as a drop of water without being illuminated by the light sentries.
