Frosted

At this time of year, I begin looking for the frosted 

edges the icy air creates from the dew.

The morning sun casts its light on the dried leaves,

creating subtle hints of a pink and blue

background for the lacy ruffles.

These were laying by the side of the drive 

where I go into work.
