Trembling Light

So light, so fragile I almost missed it, 

this feather clung to a twig.

I was determined to get a picture of it

and this was the only image 

that was in focus.
I liked the way the afternoon sun
shown through the feather,
creating a small spot of trembling light,
shimmering in the cool breeze.
