Someone tried to kill this tree.
The tree disagreed with this decision and has
has taken a stand, eloquently stating
its intent to continue life where it was planted
so many years ago. These beautiful
dark red shoots accentuate the gray bark,
emphasizing the frayed edges of the trunk
where the chain saw ripped it through.
The tree reveals its life story and,
punctuated by the new leaves, tells of its
determination to go on.
