Snowy Minimalism

A couple inches of snow fell the other night,
once again covering the city in a stark blanket that provides
no warmth. Scooped aside, the snow serves to
delineate the steps of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument,
and provides discrete shading to the steel grid
radiating from the bases of the trees.

Wow, Speedway! You just get better and better. Not one, but two totally amazing photographs from the eye of the woman who sees art where most people see nothing beyond the inconvenience of getting around in the snow.

agree with Dive and even more impressive is the fact it's a point n shoot-- gorgeous, and so in your ability to see the beauty in the mundane.

Thank you all, but the winter so far is so bland and cold, I have to find something beautiful. Have to. The grate at the base of the tree made me think of a bird's wing, but not enough snow had melted to bring out that feature.

Thank gawd my amaryllis is blooming. It's gro-lite signs down on it making its red flowers almost sacred things.
