Textured Tuesday: Tan Days of Summer

These dried flowers give a general impression
of what summer has been like for much of the country.
However, I was pleased to see the delicate
lines and shapes the dry weather has revealed
to my otherwise oblivious eye.
If sea urchins went to visit the Midwest,
this is what they'd look like.

Looks like the body snatchers have returned, Speedway.

The pods are only about one-half inch in diameter, Dive. And the body snatcher pods reminded me of giant okra - which might explain why theyre' (Snicker-snicker) so
slimy inside.

Okra … Mmmmmmmmm …
Now I'm going to have nightmares about hordes of half-inch high bodily snatched people engulfing the planet.

The body snatching folk are here, Dive. They're Tea Party folk disguised as (horrors!) Christians and "concerned citizens."

That's scary enough to be true.
