Nowhere to Go But ...

The stairway to success is a long, arduous climb,
but a fall from grace is precipitous, so beware of the
pitfalls that may lay behind unfamiliar doors.

The smoking lounge at the back of the office
had a secret entrance; those who found
the way out never returned.

I noticed some second-story doors on a business the other day and asked my husband about them. He said they were used to move/load large things, rather than taking them up a windy staircase. You definitely want to look before taking that first step though!

Thank you, Meghan. I figured no one would go to the trouble to restore a building and put in doors that had no purpose. Your explanation makes sense.
