Frosty to Frozen

It's pretty.
It's stark.
It's cold.
My cat is curled against the chilly air,
her tail wrapped over her nose like a shawl.
I've turned inward, imagining spring
and counting the days until the flowers reappear.

This poor pansy, among the more hardy of flowers,
has sacrificed its life to bring a little sun
into a frozen garden.
There are days "global warming"
doesn't seem like such a bad thing.

Pansies are crazy; they come out in the weirdest weather.

Hi, Dive! How's the project going?
The weather here's been crazy, too, so I can understand the pansy's confusion. The few days before I took this picture, temps were in the 50s, then fell to the mid-teens. Saturday was cold, Sunday better and today will warm back to the 50s, with rain and snow expected tomorrow.

Brrr!

Brr indeedy! The project's going crazy, thank you for asking. Crazy in a good(ish) way at the moment but there's no telling where it'll veer off to next. It's like a two-year-old in control of a rally car. Sheesh!

Well, let's hope the two-year-old steering and the one in charge of the pedals are able to communicate well!

If you get a chance, check the PS from a friend I added to "Uh... Street Art?"
