A Compliment of Contrast

I liked the way these flowers, with their strong,
sturdy stems stretched towards the sun
against the background of the more delicate green.

Is that a self-portrait, Speedway? The smart, intelligent, funny and creative woman standing out from the crowd. It certainly seems to be the flower of choice for the bee.

Such artsy shots. I can tell you love COLOR and that composition matters to you. I'm going to spend more time on your site to get an idea of what you city looks like. I think we have relatives there!

You have composed an amazing shot! The textures, the light, the colors - I hope you have this enlarged and hanging in your home somewhere!

Oh, thank you, Dive. You're so sweet and complimentary, if you were my husband I'd wonder what you're up to. Since you're not, I can say I'd have you in a second - if we could have separate residences so you can be tidy and I can be a slob.

Hello, GBDP, and thank you, too, for your kind compliments. Composition and color do matter very much to me. However, I just take pictures of whatever presents itself on that day. This photo was taken on a recent trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I don't have to compose a thing when the flowers and plants do all the work for me.

Oh, thank you, Cathy for dropping by. This one flower just had extended itself from its group and the whole thing was the way you see it. I just snapped the shutter.

Hee hee, Speedway. You've got me bang to rights: all the cutlery lined up neatly in the correct trays and heaven help anyone who leaves a towel not geometrically perfect.
Having said that; you've seen the mess my desk can get into sometimes.

And hey; I still think it's a great self portrait.
